About Us
We visited a pet store and ended up with a guinea pig which we have named Silky. We were told that he's very aggressive towards other guinea pigs and we can't house him with a friend, so we thought can he have virtual friends. Thinking he looked lonely we had a crazy idea and decided to build this website which is ongoing. We are hoping he can have virtual friends and will build the website to facilitate that.
Our Mission
To build a website where Guinea Pigs can have virtual friends and talk to one another. In Switzerland it’s illegal to have a single guinea pig as they are social creatures and need companionship, however, we were told that Silky cannot have a real friend, so we thought let’s make him virtual friends. We are not in Switzerland, but we don’t want him to be lonely and miss out on friendships.
Our Values
We love animals and have squirrels and birds come into the house on a regular basis. They know we have peanuts and if we leave a door open they will come in. I have never had a guinea pig before, but he’s so cute. I work from home and he’s right next to my desk. When he hears the fridge door open he squeaks loudly wanting lettuce. I have to make sure he’s not hungry before I start any conference calls otherwise he makes too much noise.
